Mercosur and Brazil Intensive

The new EU-Mercosur free trade agreement and Brazil's indirect tax reform – the total-cost view of your Brazil business

Praxisseminar, 1-tägig, 09:00 bis 17:00 Uhr

Dieses Seminar findet als Kooperationsveranstaltung mit der AWA AUSSENWIRTSCHAFTS-AKADEMIE statt.

Preferential trade law is dynamic – and tariff dismantling is only half the bill.

The EU-Mercosur agreement, provisionally applied as an Interim Trade Agreement, lowers import duties into South America's most important market.

At the same time, Brazil is fundamentally rebuilding its indirect tax system: CBS, IBS and the Selective Tax will gradually replace, through 2033, the current charges that make up the bulk of the import burden.

Anyone exporting to Brazil must think both developments together – for costing, price negotiation and supplier communication.

This seminar is the first to combine both perspectives into a single total-cost view and equips you to implement them in your company on a legally sound and commercially informed basis.

The focus is consistently practical: what already applies, how to use it – and what to do in the next 90 days.

You will learn the details of the agreement between the EU and the Mercosur countries and, at the same time, understand how Brazil's tax reform changes the actual cost burden on your exports.

Using landed-cost case studies from the key export industries, you will be able to transfer the combined effect of tariff dismantling and tax reform to your own trade flows.

The seminar will be held in English. Participants can attend either in person at HZA or online via livestream, depending on the participation format selected during registration.
